2 convicted on habitual felon status charges in Burke

MORGANTON – Two men were convicted this week on habitual felon status charges, according to prosecutors in Burke County.

Timothy Lee Crane, 48, of Connelly Springs, also was convicted of possession and distribution of methamphetamine precursors and larceny. He was sentenced to at least five years and seven months in prison. Prosecutors say the larceny charge dates from August 2012 in Burke County and the meth charge from January in Burke County.

Larry Dale Greene Jr., 32, of Lenoir, also was convicted of breaking and entering and larceny. He was sentenced to at least six and a half years in prison. His offenses date to last December in Burke County and involved the theft of a firearm and jewelry, prosecutors say.
