Rowan man charged in July Concord shooting

A Rowan County man was arrested Tuesday and charged with a shooting death two months ago in Concord, police say.

Cecil Jemaine Clay, 30, of East Spencer, was arrested about 9 a.m. in Salisbury by police from Concord and Salisbury. He was charged with one count of murder, according to Concord police.

Investigators accuse him of fatally shooting 30-year-old Mario Sundray Douglas on July 13 on Alberta Street. Police say the investigation indicates Clay and Douglas knew one another, and that the shooting was related to a domestic situation.
