Police seek driver in hit-and-run wreck that killed 1 near SouthPark

Police are looking for the driver of a white truck after a hit-and-run wreck killed one person and injured at least three in South Charlotte on Wednesday.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Sharon Road West near Park Road. Its cause is still under investigation.

According to NBC Charlotte, the Observer’s news partner, four people were taken to the hospital, including three children.

Police encourage anyone with information about the truck or the wreck to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Tipsters are eligible for rewards for information that leads to an arrest.
