A Hickory woman faces several felony drug charges in Caldwell County after being arrested during a sting operation, the sheriff’s office says.
Authorities say Caldwell County deputies and Granite Falls police arrested Shannon Leigh Powell, 31, on Tuesday in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant.
Powell was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, investigators say. In addition, she was wanted by Longview police in Catawba County for allegedly selling meth to an undercover officer. She was charged with two felonies in that case – possession with intent to sell or deliver meth, and selling meth.
Caldwell County authorities say Powell also was wanted by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police for larceny of a motor vehicle.
Powell was jailed under $30,000 bond for the Caldwell County charge and $40,000 bond for the charges in Longview.
