Two Charlotte pedestrians hit in separate accidents

Pedestrians were hit by vehicles in two separate incidents Friday, according to Medic.

The first pedestrian was struck in the 5800 block of Fairview Road around 4 p.m. A Medic spokeswoman said that patient was taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Medic was called to the University City area at 8:13 p.m. after another pedestrian was struck on Ridge Road. Officials said that patient had potentially life-threatening injures and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
