The Sweet 16 becomes 17 this week as Concord joins the poll.
The Spiders (4-0) beat South Rowan 34-13 Friday behind Rocky Reid’s 216 rushing yards. Reid has three 200-yard rush games this season and has 849 rushing yards for the season.
Concord tied at No. 16 with North Rowan, the No.-1 ranked team in The Associated Press 2A poll. The top three spots remained the same with unbeaten 4A heavyweights Mallard Creek, Rock Hill Northwestern and Hough staying put for the second straight week. Langston Wertz Jr.
