2 hospitalized after hit-and-run crash

Police are investigating a hit and run crash that sent two people to the hospital.

The crash happened on Farm Pond Lane around 9:30 Saturday night. Authorities on the scene said it appears that a pick up truck ran a stop sign and plowed into an unsuspecting driver.

The collision caused the car to flip onto it's side, the driver that caused the crash fled the scene. Medic tell NBC Charlotte, two people were transported with potentially life threatening injuries.

Authorities said they believe the hit and run driver was in a pickup truck.
