Alexander man charged with growing pot

TAYLORSVILLE – A Taylorsville man was arrested earlier this week on charges of growing marijuana outside his home, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office says.

Ronnie Allen Boggs, 66, was arrested after detectives said they found 37 marijuana plants growing in a garden outside his home on Gant Drive. Authorities say they also seized about 3 pounds of marijuana at the home.

She has been charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
