After building a 28-10 lead at the half, the Phoenix (2-4, 1-1) turned the game over to the defense.
Morehead State 45, Campbell 36: Austin Gahafer threw a career-best 334 yards and three touchdowns for visiting Morehead State (2-4, 2-1 Pioneer). The Camels (1-4, 0-2) had a 553-469 edge in total offense.
N.C. Central 37, Howard 28: Jordan Reid completed nine of 19 passes but led the visiting Eagles (3-2, 1-0 MEAC) in rushing with 94 yards.
S.C. State 29, N.C. A&T: 24: The Bulldogs (4-2, 2-0 MEAC) won the Atlanta Football Classic for the third time in seven invitations. The Aggies are 3-1, 1-1.
Charleston Southern 28, North Greenville 14: Daniel Croghan III threw for 136 yards and rushed for two touchdowns in his first start for host Charleston Southern (6-0).
Wofford 55, Presbyterian 14: Six rushers scored for the Terriers (3-2, 2-0 Southern) in host Woffords fifth straight win against Presbyterian (1-4).
Chattanooga 42, Western Carolina 21: The visiting Catamounts (1-5) threw three interceptions in the first half for a 21-0 deficit.
Elizabeth City State 26, Saint Augustines 25: The host Falcons (2-3, 1-1) couldnt overcome the Vikings 10-point halftime cushion in a CIAA game.
Virginia State 14, Shaw 10: In Durham, the CIAAs Bears (2-3) couldnt score on offense, getting only a George Mulumba field goal and a 15-yard fumble return by Darnell Evans.
Virginia Union 32, Livingstone 25: Damon Kelly ran for three touchdowns in the visiting Panthers (1-4) first win. The Blue Bears dropped to 2-5 in a CIAA game.
Winston-Salem State 56, Bowie State 21: The host Rams (4-1, 2-0 CIAA) got four touchdown passes from Rudy Johnson.
Fayetteville State 35, Chowan 28: Juwan Moye caught a 10-yard pass from Derek Bryant with no time left on the clock for the host Broncos (3-2, 2-0 SAC). Chowan is 2-3, 0-1.
Newberry 42, Wingate 28: The host Bulldogs (1-3, 0-2 South Atlantic) led by a touchdown early in the third quarter, but the Wolves (5-0, 3-0) got three straight scores.
Lenoir-Rhyne 41, Brevard 0: The Bears (4-1, 3-0) made it four wins in a row with 522 yards of total offense in the SAC triumph.
Tusculum 43, Catawba 25: Bo Cordell threw for 424 yards and three scores for host Tusculum (3-2, 1-1 SAC). The Indians are 3-2, 1-2.
