Three men and a woman face charges in Caldwell County after they were arrested during a drug raid late last week, the sheriff’s office said.
The arrests followed an undercover operation that lasted several months, according to investigators. Authorities say they began getting reports of suspicious activity at the residence two years ago.
Sheriff’s detectives, accompanied by Lenoir police, conducted the search Friday at two residences in the 3100 block of Linville Court in Lenoir.
Prior to that, deputies say, undercover agents made several purchases of cocaine at the residences.
Deputies say they seized 41/2 ounces of powder cocaine, more than an ounce of crack cocaine, more than 2 ounces of marijuana and $3,129 in cash. The drugs have a street value of more than $18,000, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office says it expects more charges in the case.
Arrested and charged were:
• Anthony “Boo” Drake Perkins, 44, Lenoir – charged with one count each of cocaine trafficking, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance.
• Frederick Darius Dula, 35, Lenoir – one count of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.
• Misty Dawn McGill, 35, Lenoir – one count each of cocaine trafficking and maintaining a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance.
• Darnell Overn Moore, 37, Lenoir – one count each of cocaine trafficking and maintaining a dwelling to keep or store a controlled substance.
