Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church in Denver will hold its Inaugural Car, Truck, & Bike Show and Charity Ride from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19According to the Rev. Kathie Clontz Sherrill, pastor, proceeds from the show will be used for several purposes, including support of the Webbs Chapel UMYouth, the Family Life Center and breast cancer research.Registration will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on the day of the show. The fee for car entries will be $15, and for the charity bike ride, $20 per rider. Trophies will be awarded for the Top 20 entries and for Best in Show.A silent auction will be held for items donated by local businesses, and food, prepared by the Webbs Chapel youth, will be sold. A 50-50 drawing will be another feature of the day’s events.Ernie Preslar, owner of Ernie’s Xtreme Motorsports, is handling the car show, which is open to all makes and models. His motto, “If it has wheels, bring it!”, suggests that an interesting if somewhat eclectic variety of cars will be on display at the show.In the event of rain, the show will be held on Nov. 9.
