West Rowan High offensive coordinator Zach Bevilacqua (center) with his offensive line at West Rowan football practice Thursday afternoon. The former Butler OL Zach Bevilacqua discusses his weight gain in high school to achieve his dream of college football -- and his continued weight gain once his playing career was done. At 400 pounds, he had to face a serious life decision: drop weight or perhaps not be around to see his children grow up. Bevilacqua was a 6'1", 230 pounder when he came to Butler and 6-3, 290 when he left. He ate 5,000 calories per day to get big and when he graduated from college, he couldn't stop eating, ballooning to 400 pounds before he lost weight in order, in his words, to see his kids have kids. Robert Olson, a Korean War veteran from Iowa, third from left, is pushed in his wheelchair by Zach Twedt, also from Iowa, fourth from left around the National World War II Memorial, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 in Washington. Veterans who had traveled from across the country were allowed to visit the National World War II Memorial after it had been officially closed because of the partial government shutdown. After their visit, the National World War II Memorial was closed again. The Lincoln Memorial is seen in the distance. Congress plunged the nation into a partial government shutdown Tuesday as a long-running dispute over President Barack Obama's health care law stalled a temporary funding bill, forcing about 800,000 federal workers off the job and suspending most non-essential federal programs and services.
