Business Partners Stephanie Roffey, a licensed clinical worker, and equine specialist Stephanie Pennell recently opened Achieving Balance at The Farm, a therapeutic alternative to traditional therapy that allows clients to identify, express and move through emotional conflicts in a relaxed and natural environment.

Ingersoll Rand: The company’s North American headquarters and corporate center in Davidson donated $25,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation during its employee breast cancer awareness event on Oct. 9.

Davis Regional Medical Center: After a lifetime of military service and traveling almost around the world, Orrin Morgan set a new record recently as the first patient to undergo an endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair at the medical center, 218 Old Mocksville Road, Statesville. The surgery repairs an enlarged place in the aorta and has advanced to where patients no longer have huge incisions, but rather small puncture wounds. That offers faster healing, fewer complications, a quicker return to normal routine and a decreased hospital stay, hospital officials said.

• The medical center recently added new treatment options for urological and urogynecological procedures. Using the da Vinci robotically assisted system, patients experience less pain and scarring, a lower risk of infection, shorter hospital stays and a quicker recovery, medical center officials said. Details: 704-838-7135.
