The Secret Chocolatier

The Secret Chocolatier in Cotswold has won a silver award from the International Chocolate Awards 2013 America’s Semi-Final. The award went to the shop’s Cardamom Chocolate Truffle. Co-owner of The Secret Chocolatier Andy Ciordia says, “We’re honored to have placed at the International Chocolate Awards with a United States Silver for our cardamom truffle.” The truffle was inspired by friend Giri Anantharaman, who brought green cardamom pods to the chocolate shop and explained how they were utilized in his family’s desserts. The confection was judged at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York. The truffle will next be judged at the world finals in London. The International Chocolate Awards judge and recognize fine chocolates from all over the world.
