Mooresville police search for van

Mooresville police are searching for an older white man who approached a teenager as she walked in her neighborhood.

The man was driving a reddish, burgundy or rust-colored van with Tennessee license plates. Police said the teenager told them the van had wood paneling on the sides.

Police said Thursday that they have increased their patrols in local neighborhoods. Police are not saying in which neighborhood the man approached the teenager or where they are stepping up patrols.

Anyone with information in the case or who sees the vehicle in question is asked to call police at 704-664-3311.
