Providence Day fields all-girl InvenTeam

Providence Day School was awarded a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam grant for $10,000 to create a Green Renewable Current Desk System, a series of desks in a grid system that generates electricity from foot pedals. Providence Day School is one of 15 high schools nationwide to be selected as an InvenTeam this year, and the only all-girls team.

InvenTeams are groups of high school students, teachers and mentors that receive grants to invent technological solutions to real-world problems.

Providence Day team members: Kelly Albert, Blaire Barton, Grace Clements, Abbie Cochell, Rose DelleFave, Alexandra Embs, Taylor Gerlach, Katherine Holway, Haley Ritchie and Victoria Xu.
