CHS grad co-founds company to honor deceased veterans

COLUMBIA Flint Holbrook, a 2009 graduate of Clover High School and a 2013 graduate of Oklahoma State University, is the co-founder and CEO of a company called Remember Heroes, that places fresh flower arrangements on the graves of American veterans buried in national cemeteries.

Holbrook, the son of Flint and Beverly Holbrook of Clover, served as president of the S.C. FFA Association in 2008-09 and as president of the student government association at Oklahoma State University in 2012-13.

Holbrook said the company receives orders for fresh flower arrangements from family members or friends of veterans interred in national cemeteries and places them on the grave sites.

The company also provides customers with a virtual visit to the grave by digital photographs of the arrangement on the grave, the grave marker and the cemetery.

Remember Heroes, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, can serve the families and friends of more than 1.7 million deceased veterans buried in national cemeteries in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Riverside, Calif.; Honolulu; Denver, Colo.; Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.; St. Louis; Long Island, N.Y.; Arlington, Va./Washington, D.C.; Bushnell, Fla., and San Antonio, Texas.
