The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has released this surveillance video photo of a woman thought to be a suspect in one of two robberies.

Iredell County authorities say they are looking for a woman as a suspect in the knifepoint robberies Monday of two stores.

The first robbery, according to the sheriff’s office, was reported about 3:30 p.m. at the Food Lion in the 600 block of Turnersburg Highway near Statesville. A woman, armed with a knife, entered the store and took money from a register.

The second case was reported about 8 p.m. at the Dollar General store in the 600 block of Mocksville Highway. Once again, the bandit displayed a large knife and left with money from the register.

Investigators say the woman is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 to 150 pounds. She might have been driving a gray minivan.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 704-878-3100.
