Elijah Hood named a finalist for U.S. Army Player of the Year Award

Charlotte Catholic running back Elijah Hood received his U.S. Army All-American Bowl jersey during a ceremony at the school. Hood is one of 90 players nationwide selected to play. He is also one of six finalists for the U.S. Army Player of the Year.

Charlotte Catholic senior running back Elijah Hood is one of six finalists for the 2014 U.S. Army Player of the Year Award.

The winner of the national award will be presented with the Ken Hall Trophy during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Awards Show on Jan.3.

Hood will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jan.4.

Davidson Day quarterback Will Grier is also one of the six finalists.
