Man, 40, found dead in Tega Cay park

TEGA CAY Authorities on Tuesday said the man found dead at a Tega Cay park Monday afternoon likely died of natural causes, though an official cause of death will not be available until an autopsy is performed.

York County Coroner Sabrina Gast identified the man as Larry James Yoder, 40, of Tega Cay. An autopsy will be completed on Tuesday.

He was found dead in Runde Park, authorities said.

Police still do not suspect foul play in Yoder's death, said Tega Cay Police Major David Nelson.

"By all appearances," his death does not appear suspicious, Nelson said. He was wearing exercise clothes when police arrived on scene.

Toxicology tests are also pending, Gast said.
