Sip of the Week

Catherine Rabb

2012 California Crush Sauvignon Blanc, by Tyler Florence

Less than $20, widely available

This is a very nice everyday wine for those who like a little zippy acidity and no oak in a white wine. While it isn’t as grapefruity as a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, it has lovely notes of citrus (lemon, lime and tangerine) with enough, but not too much, tartness. This well-balanced white will shine with a wide range of foods. No surprise there: Florence is a well-known chef and a Johnson & Wales grad. Catherine Rabb
