World Bank envoy to speak at Davidson College

Mahmoud Mouhieldin, special envoy for the president of the World Bank, will give a free talk at Davidson College on Thursday called “Turning Ideas into Action: Financing the Post-2015 Agenda.”

Mouhieldin will speak at 7 p.m. in the Alvarez College Union on campus.

Mouhieldin coordinates the World Bank Group’s agenda regarding its eight millennium development goals. Much of his work involves the long-term financing of future work on the goals, which include everything from eradicating extreme poverty and hunger to improving maternal health.

He previously was on the Central Bank of Egypt board.
