Opera Carolina is holding a drawing for 250 pairs of free tickets to the Thursday, Jan. 23, performance of Puccini’s “Il Trittico” at Belk Theater. Only first-time opera-goers are eligible to enter.

The promotion is being made possible by The Hearst Foundations, which is funding it as part of multiyear “audience building” grant of $300,000.

To enter, visit www.operacarolina.org/firstopera through Sunday. Winners will be selected at random. Past opera attendees will be disqualified, as will duplicate entries. A maximum of one entry per household. Tickets have no cash value and cannot be sold or exchanged.
