Mt. Zion United Methodist, Cornelius

Praise Team Christmas: The Praise Team will present Christmas music at 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 15.

Community prayer breakfast: Weekly breakfast led by the ministerial staffs of Mt. Zion United Methodist and Bethel Presbyterian. 7-8 a.m.Wednesdays at The Cookhouse, 20936 Torrence Chapel Road, Cornelius.

Women of Zion: All women of the church and community are invited for fellowship and a devotional program. 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Acropolis Café and Grille, 20659 Catawba Ave., Cornelius.

Prayer shawl ministry: The group knits and crochets prayer shawls for people in need. We also provide hats and scarves for the homeless and baby blankets for baptisms. Meetings are 5:30-7 p.m. Sundays and 10:30 a.m.-noon Wednesdays. 19600 Zion St., Cornelius. www.mtzionumc.net.

Davidson College Presbyterian

Alternative worship: Monthly services will rotate among various styles, including Compline and Taize. A Taize service will be held 8:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Regular rotation will begin Jan. 7. 100 N. Main St., Davidson. www.dcpc.org.

White gift pageant: Christmas service. At the end of the service, attendees will be invited to approach the manger with gifts of food. Please bring canned ham, boxed stuffing, boxed potatoes, or canned yams for Loaves and Fishes. 5 p.m. Dec. 15.

St. Mark Catholic, Huntersville

Family Christmas program: The chancel choir and Act of Renewal will present “Rediscovering Christmas,” a funny and powerful presentation that brings to life both Biblical and modern-day aspects of the season.
