Charlotte firefighters respond to blaze that destroys vacant house on West Park Avenue

The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a blaze that destroyed a one-story vacant house in the 300 block of West Park Avenue shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported. Officials said the fire caused minor damage to a house next door.

Fire investigators were on the scene trying to determine if renovation or repair work had been in progress at the unoccupied dwelling that was destroyed.
