A car drove into a Rock Hill business this weekend and then left the scene, according to a police report.

Police responded to Advance America on Heckle Boulevard on Sunday morning when an alarm went off, according to the report.

When they arrived, the front doors and window were “caved in and shattered.” Officers saw evidence to indicate a car had been parked in front of the business and drove forward into the building.

The camera system was damaged when the building was hit, but surveillance from the business next door showed the car was a blue mid-1970’s to early-1980’s Chevy Corvette Stingray.

Damage is estimated at $1,500, the report states. The cash registers and safe were not disturbed and the case remains “active.”
