Rock Hill police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Walmart on Old York Road after a pregnant woman was spotted putting items in her bags without paying for them, according to a report.

The woman, 23, was shopping on Saturday afternoon with her two young children, when she made a purchase at a self check-out lane. She put 29 items totaling more than $113 in bags without ringing them up, the report stated. The woman had $350 in cash on her at the time.

Officers issued the woman a citation for shoplifting, but released her because she was just three days away from her due date. The report stated she will have to appear in court in February.
