Charlotte-based Classic Graphics announced Tuesday it was combining forces with local firm Creative Marketing Solutions in order to boost its offerings.

The news comes just two weeks after Classic Graphics was acquired by Minneapolis-based Imagine! Print Solutions, a company about three times its size. The combined companies form one of the largest privately owned commercial printing companies in the nation, and with Creative Marketing Solutions, sales for 2013 will approach $300 million, said Classic Graphics spokesperson Leanne Kinsella.

Creative Marketing Solutions will move into Classic Graphics’ 240,000-square-foot headquarters in University City’s Innovation Park as early as this week, Kinsella said.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Dick Kittle, founder and managing partner of Creative Marketing Solutions, will retire at the end of 2013.
