Davidson Fire Department plans controlled burn on Saturday

The Davidson Fire Department and five other local fire departments will conduct a training burn on a vacant home at 14735 E. Rocky River Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Residents might notice columns of heavy smoke in the air, Davidson Deputy Fire Chief Joel Cherry said.

The house was donated to the Davidson Fire Department specifically for training, Cherry said.

“Reports are calling for a ‘Code Green’ all day, so there should be little health risk to our citizens,” he said.
