A Statesville man was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison this week for raping two children.

Jose Angel Guzman-Jimenez pleaded guilty in Iredell County Superior Court on Thursday to two counts each of first-degree rape of a child and first-degree sex offense with a child.

The charges stemmed from a 2012 investigation by Iredell County Detective Sgt. Brian Fink. The victims were 10 and 12 years old.

Investigators interviewed the children at the Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center in Statesville.
