Clover man dies in crash when truck hits embankment

CLOVER A 41-year-old Clover man died in a crash early Sunday morning after his Ford pickup struck an embankment.

The one-car wreck was at about 12:22 a.m. on SC 274 at Fewell Road, eight miles east of Clover.

Benjamin Horton was the only occupant in the 2006 pickup. He was ejected from his car and died at the scene, according to York County Coroner Sabrina Gast.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
