Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who they say robbed a Cookout Restaurant in Stanley on Sunday morning.

Shortly after 7 a.m., authorities received a call for service about the armed robbery at the restaurant, at 7519 Highway 73.

An armed suspect dressed in all black entered the restaurant after shooting out the glass in the door with a handgun and opening it. The man forced the store manager to open the safe and give him the contents.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5-foot-10 with a slender build.

He drove away in a red, late model four-door Honda Civic, although it’s unclear what direction he was traveling.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked the call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at 704-735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.

Anyone who provides a Crime Stoppers tip that leads to an arrest could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
