Warrant: Cadaver dogs indicated human remains in Erica Parsons case

Cadaver dogs indicated the possible presence of human remains during searches at a building on the property of missing teen Erica Parsons’ adoptive grandfather, according to the Salisbury Post.

The findings were part of an affidavit for another search warrant for the red storage building on Sutton Road in China Grove, according to the newspaper. The property is owned by Erica Parsons’ adoptive grandfather, William Parsons. But Erica’s adoptive parents, Casey and Sandy Parsons, owned and used the building for storage, investigators said in search warrants.

The warrant was served on Nov. 14, but not returned until Monday, according to the Salisbury Post. The searches where the dogs signaled human remains may be near occurred in October and November.

Erica was reported missing in July. Investigators suspect foul play in the case, which has garnered international attention. Her adoptive parents have been questioned by detectives several times, but no one has been charged.
