Nan and Byron’s
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Nan and Byron’s with an open bar and buffet 10 p.m.-2 a.m. for $60. Included in the cost are the buffet, tunes from DJ Clay Hefner, party favors, a live countdown of the ball drop and a champagne toast at midnight. Free parking is available on site; a valet will also be on hand for the evening. Must be 21 with valid I.D. to attend; purchase tickets in advance at www.ticketleap.com with keyword Nan and Byron’s. Uptown’s Fleming’s offers a special New Year’s Eve menu. The three-course prix fixe menu includes a filet mignon and an 8-ounce lobster tail for $69.95. Other courses include roasted prosciutto-wrapped shrimp with tomato jam and cilantro and a choice of Caesar or Fleming’s salad. The wine pairing for the meal is additional: Gloria Ferrara Sonoma Brut available by the glass for $12 or magnum for $100. New Year’s Eve dinner will be served at BLT Steak at the Ritz-Carlton Uptown 5 p.m.-midnight. A prix fixe Blackboard special featuring a choice of an appetizer, main course, side dish and dessert is $60. Options include braised short ribs, black grouper with potato-clam chowder, cauliflower gratin and pumpkin layer cake. The regular menu will also be available; call for reservations and details. Breakfast is a new addition and will be served 7 - 10:30 a.m. weekdays beginning Dec. 28. On Dec. 29 the spot also begins serving Sunday Brunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
SouthPark’s Georges Brasserie rings in the New Year Dec. 31 with a four-course menu prepared by chef Andrew Dodd. Menu pricing and times as follows: 5:30-6:30 p.m. the menu is $55; 7-8:30 p.m., $65; 9-10:45 p.m, $75. Cost includes favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Live music begins at 9:30 p.m. Call for reservations.

A special New Year’s Eve dinner menu will be available, along with the eatery’s regular menu. The holiday menu finds starters such as paneed lobster tail with apple celery slaw, Georgia caviar and champagne fondue and Creole boiled shrimp with a Romaine wedge, cherry tomato, radishes and hard-cooked egg. Entrees include braised oxtail Bolognese with semolina pasta, roasted root vegetables and shaved truffles and wood oven roasted prime rib with pomme Dauphine and roasted vegetables. Special additions are available. A dark chocolate ganache torte with blueberry preserves and Prosecco is the featured dessert. Reservations are being accepted; dinner seating is available
