CMPD seek man who cut off electronic monitor

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Thursday they are seeking a man who cut off his court-ordered electronic monitoring device.

The violent criminal apprehension team has an outstanding warrant for Omar Lee Anthony, 18, for interfering with an electronic monitoring device and damage to property, authorities said.

Anthony was being monitored for pre-trial charges of breaking and entering. He was ordered to wear the device on Nov. 7 as a condition of his release but cut it off Wednesday , CMPD said. He was last seen at 200 Harrison St., Charlotte. Anthony is 6-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
