Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect in Tuesday’s armed robbery of a Sam’s Mart at 101 W. Woodlawn Road.

At about 5:20 p.m., police said, a man showed a firearm and demanded property from the business. Police didn’t specify what the man demanded or took from the store.

The man is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Police ask that anyone who can identify the man call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
