Can’t get enough of the Panthers? Come meet some of the team’s former players and hear them talk about this year’s Panthers, share old stories and give a glimpse into the life of a pro football player at a special free event Friday hosted by The Charlotte Observer and OrthoCarolina.

Former Panthers players Mike Rucker, Eugene Robinson and Mark Carrier will join Observer sports columnist Scott Fowler and WBTV sports director Delano Little on stage. The event begins inside the Observer, 600 S. Tryon St., at 11:30 a.m. with free pizza and drinks, with the panel starting at noon.

The players will be available for autographs before and after, and Scott will be selling his newest book, “100 Things Panthers Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die.”

During the hourlong chat, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of NFL life and in-depth analysis of the Panthers’ chances in their first playoff game since 2008. You’ll even be able to ask the panel questions throughout the program.

In addition, all attendees will get a special poster featuring Observer sports fronts from throughout the season. (Additional copies will be available for sale for $5.)

Update: Registration has ended for the event.
