600 customers lose power in Raleigh

RALEIGH Several hundred people in Raleigh were without electric power because of outages Monday morning, Duke Energy Progress reported.

The company said two problems were affecting about 600 customers at 7 a.m. in the Eastgate area north of the Interstate 440 Beltline.

Power went out shortly after 5 a.m. and was expected to be back on for everyone before 8 a.m., the company said.
