The Wildcats broke out of their five-game slump by beating Wofford last Saturday, winning their Southern Conference opener for the 11th time in 12 years. Davidson can now go to 2-0 in league play for the third straight year with a win against the Paladins, who have lost two straight. B.K.

The Golden Bulls saw their four-game winning streak end with a stunning 10-point loss to CIAA foe Virginia Union on Monday. But J.C. Smith has a good shot at turning things around against the Hawks, who have lost four straight, including three consecutive league games. B.K.
