A man shot multiple times Friday in a Rock Hill home has died, and police continue to search for three suspects they believe are connected.
An adult male was shot multiple times in a home on Cedar Grove Lane shortly before 2 p.m., said department spokesman Officer Mark Bollinger. The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill with life threatening injuries, where he later died, officials confirmed
Police believe three individuals entered the home, though its unclear how many were armed or fired, Bolling said. The suspects fled the scene in a blue Mercury SUV, which was found abandoned about an hour later on Sirrine Street, Bollinger said.
Officers were canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and K9 units were on the scene, but Bollinger said its too early in the investigation to know if there was a relationship between the victim and the suspects.
Its also unclear at this time if the suspects took anything from the victim or the home, he said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Rock Hill police: 803-329-7200.
