Lanes along Yadkin County highways will be closed temporarily for clearing tree limbs

The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to temporarily close lanes along Yadkin County highways while crews clear tree limbs near the road.

Lane closures will begin Monday and continue through Jan. 24.

An overgrowth of tree limbs in spots along N.C. 67, U.S. 60, Interstate 77 and U.S. 21 in Yadkin County are affecting motorists’ sight distance, DOT reported. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. In some cases roads may be temporarily closed.

DOT advised motorists traveling through work areas to slow down and use caution.
