Local outreach group seeks hotdogs, buns for homeless shelter football parties

In celebration of the Panthers’ playoff game Sunday, a local group is providing homeless shelters a tailgate party, but they’re in need of hotdogs and hotdog buns.

The New Outreach Christian Center of the Hoskins Community is planning to feed more than 500 people at Charlotte’s men’s and women’s shelters Sunday afternoon. The group has already collected drinks and chips. Anyone interested in donating before noon Sunday can call Pastor Brenda Stevenson at 704-614-5337.
