Police seek suspect in Huntersville Walmart robbery

Police in Huntersville are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Walmart store Saturday morning.

The robbery was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at the store in the 11100 block of Bryton Town Center Drive, police say.

According to police, a man walked into the store, approached a cashier and then sprayed her clothing with an unknown substance. The man demanded money from the registers and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black quilted-style jacket, gray pants and a brown towel over his head.
