Hickory man sentenced in murder case

Terry Latood Simpson, 35, of Hickory, was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison Wednesday after a second-degree murder conviction, prosecutors in Caldwell County say.

LENOIR A Hickory man was sentenced Wednesday to more than 15 years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder in the July 2011 death of a Lenoir man, prosecutors say.

Terry Latodd Simpson, 35, was sentenced in Caldwell County Superior Court to between 15 years 10 months and 19 years 9 months in prison.

He was charged in connection with the death of Alvin Louis Dula Jr., 44, whose body was discovered in a residence near Lenoir.
