Motorists headed north from Charlotte on Interstate 85 are dealing with traffic troubles Thursday morning.
Wrecks are slowing traffic in Cabarrus and Davidson counties.
There also is a wreck-related road closure in York County, on York Highway between York and Rock Hill.
The I-85 problems are near mile marker 61 in Cabarrus County and near mile marker 86 in Davidson County. Traffic is moving slowly at both locations, and traffic is backed up.
An earlier problem with a disabled tractor-trailer on southbound I-77 in south Charlotte has been cleared, but traffic has remained sluggish throughout the morning commute. Motorists headed toward Charlotte on I-77 should expect traffic to be a bit slower.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from Brawley School Road (Exit 35) down to Gilead Road (Exit 23).
I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from George Liles Parkway (Exit 54) down to Mallard Creek Church Road (Exit 46).
I-85 northbound, Cabarrus County ... Collision moved to the shoulder near Centergrove Road (Exit 61), with backups of 3 to 4 miles.
I-85 northbound, Davidson County ... Collision moved to the shoulder near Belmont Road (Exit 86) in Lexington. Backups for 3 to 4 miles.
Albemarle Road inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Lawyers Road to Sharon Amity Road.
Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from Eastway Drive to uptown.
Providence Road inbound ... Congestion and a collision near Wendover Road; traffic moving 20-25 mph from the Arboretum area to uptown.
I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Providence Road to I-77.
I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Clanton Road.
Johnston Road ... Congestion and a collision near Community House Road; traffic moving 15-25 mph northbound from the state line up to Community House Road.
York Highway, between York and Rock Hill ... Collision with downed tree and blocked travel lanes; road is closed between Gordon and Tirzah roads.
