Today’s traffic: Lane closure on Beatties Ford Road

Construction has caused the closure of several sections of roadway in the Charlotte region, including Beatties Ford Road.

The southbound lane of Beatties Ford Road is closed just south of Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, so crews can make repairs on the bridge over Long Creek. The closure is scheduled until about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Here are the other closures:

Barringer Drive: Barringer Drive will be closed this morning at Brentwood Place and will be closed until next Tuesday morning. The closure is needed to install a culvert across Barringer Drive as part of the Brentwood Place Storm Drainage Improvement Project, city officials say. A detour will be posted.

Poplar Tent Road ramp: The ramp from northbound Interstate 85 to Poplar Tent Road is closed until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Crews are building a new ramp alignment, and detours have been posted. The closure is part of the I-85 widening project.

Cabarrus County road: The N.C. Department of Transportation says crews will close a portion of Little Buffalo Creek Road today near Mount Pleasant. The road will remain closed until Feb. 4, so crews can replace a corroded pipe with larger pipe. Motorists can detour from Little Buffalo Creek Road to N.C. 49 northbound, then left on St. Stephens Church Road, and left on Sansberry Road to Little Buffalo Creek Road.
