Panthers long snapper J.J. Jansen is keeping a travelogue for the Observer on his experiences and observations from his first Pro Bowl trip.
My second day here in Hawaii was not without a bit of controversy.
If you watched the first day of the Pro Bowl draft, you noticed that Coach Rivera picked Colts long snapper Matt Overton instead of me. Many of you tweeted me about this gross betrayal.
Rest assured, all is well.
First, Riverboat Ron wouldn’t be living up to his name if he didn’t do the unexpected. Secondly (and this stays between you and me), I’ve been tasked with learning the ins and outs of the Colts in case we play them in next year’s Super Bowl.
Always one step ahead of the competition.
I’m looking forward to the second day of the draft. Hopefully, a few of the remaining Panthers will join me on Team Sanders before the draft is complete so that I’m not the lonely snapper.
P.S. Jerry is still running ...
