UNC Charlotte conference to focus on Affordable Care Act

Susan DeVore, CEO of Premier Healthcare in Charlotte, will be the keynote speaker Feb. 6 at a health care conference at UNC Charlotte’s uptown campus, 320 E. Ninth St.

The day-long conference, titled “The Impact of Health Care Reform on Special Populations” will feature multiple sessions on the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect women, seniors, veterans and other groups. It is sponsored by the College of Health and Human Services’ School of Nursing and its alumni chapter.

Other speakers will include Michael Bleich, dean of the school of nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis, and Laurie Zephyrin, national director for reproductive health for the Veterans Health Administration.
