Matchup to Watch

Carlos Boozer vs. Josh McRoberts: A matchup of former Duke big men. Boozer has a variety of offensive moves. McRoberts did a good job in the fourth quarter Wednesday of containing the Clippers’ Blake Griffin.

Observations

• Former Bobcat D.J. Augustin has found a home with the Bulls after the Toronto Raptors waived him earlier this season. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday he totaled 27 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

• The Bulls need Augustin in the worst way. Derrick Rose is out for the season and Kirk Hinrich has been nursing a hamstring injury.

Tap-ins

• This is the Bobcats’ 13th set of games on back-to-back nights this season.

• This is one of the Buzz City promotions leading up to the Hornets makeover next season. The Bobcats are giving away Muggsy Bogues bobbleheads to the first 10,000 fans in attendance.

Did you know?

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was Bobcats coach Steve Clifford’s mentor when he first got to the NBA. Clifford has said Thibodeau was key to teaching him how to productively relate to NBA players.
