A Lenoir man has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of habitual DWI, according to prosecutors in Caldwell County.

Shan Michael Curtis, 51, was sentenced to between 12 and 15 months in prison. Prosecutors say it was the fourth DWI conviction for Curtis.

According to the District Attorney’s office, Curtis had been convicted of DWI in February 2000 in Fayette County and in both February 2004 and September 2008 in Caldwell County.

In the most recent case, he was arrested in May 2009 after being involved in a single-vehicle crash, prosecutors say.
